Learn how your beliefs shape your perception of reality

Belief is like the cookie cutter we use to shape a cookie. A floral cutter will make a flower
cookie. Likewise, any cookie will take on the shape of the cutter that shaped the dough.
A big difference though is that the choice to use certain cookie cutters is conscious, but a
#belief is often a subconscious, pre-conditioned program implanted in our minds.
So, if we want to be in control of our emotions, it’s important for us to become aware of
our beliefs. A way to do so is to be conscious of how we respond to different situations and
to dig deeper into why we have certain beliefs about how we should act in those
situations. We should also be clear with ourselves as to the outcomes we want (intention
and goal), so that we can become more conscious of how we can behave to get the best
results.
Imagine having your hands tied, and being force-fed whatever is given to you to eat - you
lack both control over the situation and what goes into your body.
Now imagine being fed, but always having the option of what to eat, when, and how
much. You don’t necessarily have the power to control what food is offered to you, but
you have more control over the situation in that you can choose what goes into your body.
“Be conscious of your beliefs and exercise your freedom of choice to modify them to better safeguard your well being.”
