Gain awareness to reflect on your values




You can think of your personal values as a form of moral compass or inner GPS that guides you in living a good life and/or help you make good decisions. But to tap into the strength of your values, you have to remain aware. It is about being aware of what you stand for, what you believe in, and what you would never compromise.


Hasty decisions can sometimes be at odds with our own values. Our values will win out in the long term, and those decisions will have been wasted. Before making any major decision, consider asking the following questions:


What do I want out from the situation?


Why should I do it?


How does this decision comply with my values and essence as a person?
