Establish greater social connectedness to root your growth

The need for connectivity and bonding is human. Bonding is a way of feeling a human connection. Think of bonding as a filling a tank for love and new ideas since being with the right company gives you the emotional and moral support you need as well as ideas and inspiration. It also helps define who we are, as it is very difficult to live in a social vacuum with no human interaction.

A proper bond will give us strength to perform better. This could be through social support and encouragement, such as leveraging the emotional resources of our friends to get us through a difficult situation. And through our bonds, we can have more fun, by engaging in positive and constructive activities.

Creating bonds with others also allows us to contribute back to humanity through spreading love to others and being there for another human’s needs instead of just our own.

Friendships in particular are a good example of mutually beneficial bonding. Being a good friend to others is more likely to make them a good friend to you. And positivity through friendship networks can be a very powerful source of emotional fuel. With that in mind, here are some ground rules to forming healthy social bonds:

● People you are comfortable with and whose company you enjoy

● People with similar interests, visions, goals

● People with whom you share mutual respect

Just remember, friendship is a two-way street. Don’t allow toxic friends in your life, and don’t yourself be that toxic friend. Finally, as seeking human connections is part of human nature, remember that spending time and building meaningful relationships is a form of self love and self respect.
