Learn to focus on your strengths (Clifton strength finder)

Everyone has something that they are good at. These strengths are often traits or skills that seem to come naturally to you. For example, some people may be quite analytical, or can easily think critically. With further training and/or practice, it is possible to further hone such strengths.
What are some ways you can use to identify your possible strengths?
a) Look at tasks that you naturally excel in without much effort
b) Look at what you enjoy doing and tasks that you can do for a longer period of time
c) Tasks that you often get recognition in being good at
d) Tasks that you take pride in doing
e) Take an aptitude test
● An option here is the Clifton Strength Finder. This system identifies 34 strengths, each with different traits and abilities. The idea is to focus on the top five strengths and invest time and effort to make the most of them.
When strengths, interest, and confidence align, it can be a powerful trifecta. This is when you are good at something, you are confident in doing it, you know how effective you are at it, and you enjoy doing it. Being in this flow can put you in the zone to sail over even rough waters.
When one part of the trifecta is missing, it can lead to a feeling of being handicapped, inadequate or unbalanced. If you have a strength that cannot easily or readily be applied to your regular routine, then find a way to make time for it.
For example, many working professionals may be in professions that do not make the most of their greatest strengths. An accountant may have a creative streak that has very limited outlets in their work. This could lead to the accountant becoming dissatisfied with their work.
However, that creativity can be put to good use, either by striving to be more innovative or generate creative solutions, or by instead creating outlets during personal time for creative expression, such as cooking or playing a musical instrument.
